Description

Appen USA, in its dedication to employee well-being and productivity, is seeking an experienced Ergonomics Specialist to join our innovative AppenWell Advocates team. This remote position is designed to address the physical health of our employees by optimizing their home office environments for comfort, efficiency, and injury prevention. As an Ergonomics Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assessing virtual workspaces, providing personalized recommendations, and educating our team on the importance of ergonomics in the remote work setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual ergonomic assessments of employees' workspaces to identify risks and areas for improvement.
  • Provide personalized recommendations for ergonomic adjustments, including equipment suggestions, to enhance workspace comfort and efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver educational materials and workshops on ergonomic best practices for remote work environments.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to integrate ergonomic principles into workplace wellness initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ergonomic interventions, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in ergonomics and remote work environments.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Ergonomics, Human Factors Engineering, Kinesiology, or a related field.
  • Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) or similar certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in an ergonomics consulting role, with a focus on remote or office work environments.
  • Strong understanding of ergonomic principles and their application in a remote work setting.
  • Proven track record of conducting virtual ergonomic assessments and implementing effective solutions.

  • Expertise in ergonomics and the ability to conduct comprehensive virtual workspace evaluations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to identify ergonomic solutions that meet individual needs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively educate and engage employees on ergonomic practices.
  • High level of empathy and the ability to provide personalized recommendations that enhance workspace comfort and health.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and platforms for virtual assessments and communications.
